SAINT MOTEL은, 미국의 인디 록 밴드 입니다. 아마도 아시는 분들은 아시는 유명 밴드이죠. 현재는 4명의 구성원으로, 보컬과 기타 담당 A/J Jackson, 기타 담당 Aaron „a sharp“ Sharp, 베이스(기타) Chondrak „Dak“ Lerdamornpong, 타악기(드럼외) Greg Erwin 으로 2007년부터 활동한 밴드 입니다. 

사실 위의 <My Type> 은 여름을 위한 EP앨범인데, 뭔가 시원시원한 느낌이 좋아 언제 들어도 청량감을 느낄수 있는 매우 대중적이고 밝은 스타일의 얼터너티브한 느낌이죠. 이 곡은 스위스와 영국 차트에서 34위에 들면서 독일에선 처음으로 이 밴드에 대한 이름이 널리 알려지기 시작했습니다.

매운 냉면, 매운 칼국수, 매운 통닭, 매운 닭찜, 매운 불갈비 등등 매운 음식이 꽤 많죠?! 예전에 매운 닭발 먹다가 죽을 뻔했던 기억이 납니다..+.+!

저는 단연코!! 매운 떡볶이를 좋아합니다. 떡볶이를 너무 좋아해서 1주일에 3일 이상 떡볶이를 사 먹거나 해먹기도 하고 매일 군것질로 떡볶이를 먹다 보니 거의 위가 죽음에 이를 뻔한 적이 있답니다. 신천 할머니 떡볶이 아시려나요. 신떡, 신당동 떡볶이, 엽떡, 조폭 떡볶이, 홍대 모둠 떡볶이집, 홍대 작은 가게 안의 삵, 등등.... 진짜 떡볶이 맛집은 다 가본 것 같아요. 지금은 또 다른 떡볶이 집들이 많이 생겼겠지만, 떡볶이와 만두튀김, 고추튀김 그리고 어묵 튀김도 최고죠!! 스트레스받을 때, 딱! 먹으러 가는 그 소소한 행복이 낛이였죠. 요즘은 음악으로만 스트레스를 풀다 보니 영 한계가 옵니다. 저는 대부분 먹는 걸로 스트레스를 풀었는데 말이죠. 그래서인지 매운 걸 좋아해서 위염과 장염이 왔었는데, 그때는 진짜... 그 고통을 잊을 수가 없죠. 저보다 더 심했던 아는 동생은 거의 포카리 스웨트를 달고 살았죠. 어떤 블로거분이 소금물이 더 좋다고 하셨지만, 저는 그래도 포카리가 더 좋아요. 떡볶이 많이 먹는다고 죽진 않겠죠 뭐..ㅡ.ㅡ;ㅎㅎ

초등학교 때 어떤 생각을 했는지 기억이 나시나요?

저는 누군가 하늘에서 저를 지켜보고 있다는 느낌을 받았고, 그게 누굴까 고민했던 시기가 있었어요. 자주 꾸는 꿈은 또 하늘을 나는 꿈이라..

어렸을 때 꾼 꿈들이 거의 판타지, 우주선, 괴물,... 참 특이한 꿈을 꿨어요. 너무 웃겼죠. 롤러코스터 타는 꿈도 자주 꾸곤 했는데, 참 웃기죠. 이 롤러코스터 꿈은 3번 꿨어요. 그것도 몇 년 뒤에 한 번씩.. 처음 어렸을 때 꿨던 롤러코스터에서는 공포가 심했어요. 그 내려가는 느낌 있죠..?!>. < 원래도 놀이기구를 잘 못 탄답니다. 그러고, 나서 나이가 좀 들고 나서 또 롤러코스터 꿈을 세 번째 꿨을때, 그때는 무섭지 않았고, 그 이후로 꾼 적이 없답니다.  정말 신기해요. 지금 생각해보면, 뭐 어린 시기에 그런 걸 생각하고 있었는지 참 신기해요 ㅎㅎ

이것은 인생?

확실히, 해외에 살다보니 그건 있습니다. 경험치가 상승한 느낌.

항상 그건 염두해 두고 있는 것 같아요. <사람은 어떻게 될지 모른다. 노력은 배신을 하지 않는다.>  그래서 항상 겸손 하려고 하지만 한국 사람들은 대부분 그런 겸손한 사람에게 더 막대하는 경향이 있죠. 해외에 있다보면, 오히려 어떤 나쁜사람이 한국에서 이런걸 했고 이런 사람이었다 허풍을 떨면서 그런 사람을 더 모시는 듯한 느낌도 들고 말이죠. 사기도, 범죄도...한국 사람이 같은 한국사람을 상대로 하는 범죄가 자주 일어나기도 하죠. 참, 독일에서 별의 별 사람들을 만났는데 좋은 기억의 사람들이 별로 없답니다. 왜 그럴까요. 

<인생은 멀리서 보면 희극인데, 가까이서 보면 비극이다> 라는 명언이 있죠.

사람도 마찬가지에요, 그냥 어느정도 그냥 웃고 마는 사이정도면 그냥 좋은 사람인데 까고보면 진짜 사기꾼 같은 사람들...비일비재 하죠.

이것이 인생이 아니라, 그런 사람을 안만나기 위해서는 스스로가 좋은 사람이 되어야 하는 것 같습니다.

기억력이 손상되는 기분을 겪어 본 적이 있으신가요?

사실 저는 기억력이 매우 좋습니다. 부분적으로요.그런데, 어떤 사람과 얘기했을 때 상대방이 분명 나에게 이런 얘기를 했는데 그 상대방은 나에게 그런 얘기를 한 적이 없다고 합니다. 그럴때, 정말 답답할 뿐만 아니라, 제 기억력이 손상되는 기분까지 느낀답니다. 사람들 중에 왜 책임 못지는 말을 하는 사람들으 왜 그럴까요? 전 정직하고 솔직한 사람이 좋습니다. 자기 이미지를 좋게 하고 좋은 사람이 되기 위해서 조작하고 앞뒤가 다른 사람이 아닌, 앞과 뒤가 똑같은 사람이요. 그런데, 그런 사람들을 만나기가 쉽진 않죠.
