<2020 할로윈 스페셜!> 마이클 잭슨의 숏트 필름 "Ghosts"

안녕하세요

21세기 문방구 입니다.

한국에서 80년대부터 2000년대까지 아우르는 팝 가수를 말하자면,

단연,  마이클 잭슨을 떠올릴 수 밖에 없습니다.

그때, 기억으로 마이클 잭슨이 제주도를 사고 싶어했었다는 카더라 소식도 나돌았죠.  물론, 죽고 나서도 죽기전에도 여러가지 스캔들과 범죄로 말이 많았지만, 음악과 퍼포먼스가 절대 잊혀질 수가 없는 것 같습니다. 특히, 그의 퍼포먼스와 음악적 연출은정말 아직까지도 놀랍습니다.

영화 제목인 마이클 잭슨의 유령은, 고전 공포 영화를 원작으로 한 뮤직 비디오 입니다. 이 영화는 베스트 셀러 작가이자 호러물의 대가 스티븐 킹(Stephen King, *1947 ,미국)과 마이클 잭슨이 함께 작업했지만, 생각보다 성공을 하지 못해 독일 영화관에서는 상영되지 않았다고 합니다.

 The film reminds everyone how wrong it can be to judge and even fear others 
  just because they are ‘different’. 

 

영화는 '다르다'는 이유만으로 다른 사람을 판단하고 두려워하는 것이 얼마나 잘못된 것인지 모든 사람에게 상기시킨다.

 

마이클 잭슨은, 정말 카더라의 무성한 소문들이 많았죠. 그 사람 자체가 하나의 미국이 흑인들의 대한 처우나 편견과 차별에 대한 인식을 확실하게 느끼게 해준 상징적인 아티스트 였기도 했고, 과거 김대중 대통령이 마이클 잭슨을 좋아해서 한국에 초대해서 온 기억들도 새록새록 떠오릅니다. 어쨌던 제 유년시절에 한국에서 마이클 잭슨이 한국에 왔었던 그 방송의 장면을 잊을수가 없었습니다.

아직도 그의 음악을 잊을수가 없습니다. 그가 살아 있었다면 얼마나 좋았을까 라는 생각을 해봅니다.

한국을 사랑하고, 한국 팬들이 많았던 지난날들의 추억이 가끔 생각이 나네요.
