Jónsi – Exhale (Official Video) (2020.04.23)

피아노에는 세 개의 페달이 있는데요. 그중에 소리를 낮추기 위해 현악기로 보자면 약음기의 효과를 내고 있는, 그걸 피아노에서는 페달을 통해 사운드의 소리를 작게 발생할 수 있는데요. 그것이 바로 중간 페달 (사일런트 페달) 입니다. 오른쪽 페달은 울림이 지속될 수 있는 페달이죠. 이 곡의 도입부에 두번째 사일런트 페달과 맨  오른쪽 페달 (댐퍼 페달을) 이용한 피아노 사운드의 반주가 매우 인상적인 곡 입니다. 페달을 누르는 그 소음까지 들을 수 있는, 그리고 중간 중간 나오는 효과음들...

영상의 도입부는 비디오를 느리게 감아 검은 비닐의 소품을 활용한 퍼포먼스가 인상적이며, 비닐의 움직임이  제목의 Exhale 처럼 마치 숨을 내뿜는 것 처럼 묘사가 되고 있으며 그 장면과 함게 점점 음악적으로도 더 벅차오르는 느낌이 전해집니다. 특히나, 

한편의 현대무용을 보는 듯한 느낌의 퍼포먼스가 한마리의 흑조를 연상시키며, 슬로우 영상이 인상적입니다.

앨범 <Shiver>

Shiver는 포스트 락 밴드 Sigur Rós와  아이슬란드 음악가 Jónsi의 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범입니다. 앨범은 영국 음악 프로듀서, 가수 및 레코드 레이블 PC Music의 책임자 인 A. G. Cook과 공동으로 제작되었습니다.

※ Jónsi 는 정말 예술적인 작업을 많이 하는데요, 그중 다른 음악  < Cannibal>을 추천해드리고 싶습니다. 

사실, 쉽게 좋아할 수 있는 스타일은 아닙니다..

이 곡 또한 도입부는 거의 소음음악 같다가, 팝으로 넘어가는데...

좀 특이한 성향의 사운드를 만드는 Jónsi 의 음악...

 

전, 쫌 하드코어한 스타일에 관심이 있기도 합니다. 소음음악도 관심이 있는데요. 예전에 유명 디제이 스티브 아오키도 <소음음악> 퍼포먼스를 하기도 했어요. 사실 그들이 디제이를 한다고 해서 그런 음악만을 만드는 것은 아니에요 전문가라면, 사운드에 관심이 많다면 이런 다양한 스타일읠 음악을 만들 수 있답니다. 대중음악 부류에서도 조금 하위에 속하지만, 또 이렇게 적절하게 사용하여 예술적으로도 훌륭하게 만들어내는 아티스트들은 몇 없지 않을까 싶습니다. 이 음악은 노이즈 팝 뮤직에 속한다고 볼 수 있습니다.

Nao, ( *1987, Neo Jessica Joshua), 영국의 얼터너티브 알앤비 가수 입니다. 어렸을 때 피아노를 배웠고, Guildhall School of Music and Drama 에서 노래하는 것, 재즈음악을 공부하기 시작했습니다. 여러 매체에서 실력을 인정 받은 뒤 (BBD Radio, Sound Cloud, iTunes etc.)에서  알려지게 되었습니다.  

Nao는 인스 타 그램에서 싱글 출시에 대해  "Lianne과 저는 이 노래를 세상에 발표하게 되어 정말 기쁩니다."라고 알렸습니다. “나는 이것이 여성으로서 특히 유색 인종의 여성으로서 축하받을 수 있고 축하해야 할 때의 시작이라고 정말로 믿습니다. 이것은 우리의 시간이다! 우리 모두는 축하받을 자격이 있습니다. " 라고 앨범에 대해 언급했습니다.

2014년과 2015년사이  유명 듀오 그룹 디제이  Disclosure와 작업을 한바 있으며, 그들의 작업에서 팝가수로써의 가능성을 알렸습니다.
