제가 요즘 즐겨 듣는 곡 중에 하나를 소개해드릴까 합니다. 

보컬이  부분적으로 에반 에센스랑 비슷한 톤의 느낌으로 느껴져서 특이 하기도 합니다. 물론, 보컬이 남자이지만 말이죠.

불금을 더 화끈하게 만들어 줄 음악들입니다!

정말 다시 태어나면 락밴드에서 기타리스트나 보컬 하고 싶네요..>. <

이 곡의 제목은 조지 오웰의 디스토피아 소설 '1984'에 관한 것이며,  Unperson은 소설의 Newspeak라는 가상 언어의 일부로 지칭된 단어인 것을 사람에 빗대어 표현한 것으로, 소설 속 전체주의 국가에 의해 실행된 모든 증거가 본질적으로 제거된 언어형식을 빗대어 대신 표현해 지징한 제목입니다. (Newspeak는 정치 선전용을 위한 하나의 언어를 다르게 표현하는 방식, 그 나라에서만 쓰이는 새로운 "언어형식"입니다. ) 가사는 소설 '1984'에 묘사된 디스토피아에 대한 언급으로 가득 차 있습니다. 메인 보컬 Conor Mason은 자신의 감각을 통제하지 못하고 방어가 남지 않을 때까지 점차적으로 포기하거나 이 경우 국가가 감시 국가가 됨에 따라 사생활을 포기하는 것에 대해 이야기합니다. 적절하게도 Mason은 'You are the grand designer'를 부릅니다. 이는 국가가 삶의 모든 측면을 통제하고 있음을 의미합니다. '그랜드 디자이너'는 종종 신과 관련이 있고,  의도적으로 이 단어를 선택했습니다. 전체주의 국가에서 일어나는 모든 사소한 일에 대한 모든 것을 포괄하는 통제와 개입으로 사실상 신을 연기하고 있습니다. 요즘 전 세계적으로 일어나는 일들에 대한 억압에 대해서 아티스트들이 가장 영향력 있는 소설, 유명 소설을 모티브로 삼아 자신들의 목소리를 내어주고 있는 현실이네요. 

정치적인 메세지를 담은 음악들은 확실히 평가나 청중들의 반응들이 호불호가 갈립니다. 이 곡 영상의 댓글을 보니 놀랍습니다. 너무 멋진 곡인데 말이죠. 이 곡은  Mike Crossey(The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Wolf Alice)에 의해 만들어졌으며, 밴드의 헤비 록 스펙트럼안으로의 복귀를 기념하고 있습니다.  시사적인 형태의 가사는 3분동안 강렬하게 달리고 있습니다. 정말 너무 멋진 곡 같습니다.

Nothing But Thieves 영국 락 밴드로 2012년부터 활동했으며, 그들의 음악은 Alternative Rock, Indie-Rock, Hard Rock( Heavy Rock) 장르에 속해있으며, 5명의 멤버로 이루어져 있습니다. 얼터너티브 록 밴드로 많이 알려져 있습니다.
