The Marías 는 indie Pop, Psychedelic , Psychedelic Soul 의 장르를 추구하고, 총 4명의 멤버가 있습니다.

으로 이루어진 미국 인디 밴드 이며, 2016년도부터 활동을 했고 2017년도 부터 본격적으로 정규 앨범을 내기 시작했습니다. 멤버 중 마리아는 밴드를 이끌고 있는 메인 보컬이며,  매체에서 벨벳 목소리를 가진 싱어라고 칭하고 있기도 합니다. 빈티지스러운 자신들의 연출에 대해서는 <빈티지는 밴드나 아티스트들에게 무언가 항상 영감을 주고, 영원히 사용되는 단어 입니다> 라고 말합니다. Superclean, Vol. II.앨범에서 특히 그 부분을 알 수가 있습니다. 

 

<그들의 인터뷰 중>

질문 : 당신의 음악은 "올드 스쿨" 혹은 "빈티지"로 들리는 것으로 묘사되어 왔는데, 요즘은 다소 소닉 경향이 있습니다. 왜 그렇게 많은 아티스트들이 구식과 빈티지 사운드를 생각하고 있다고 생각하십니까?

Josh Conway : 구식과 빈티지 사운드로 돌아가는 것이 새로운 것이 아니라고 생각합니다. 50, 60, 70 년대에도 사람들은 구식의 영향을받은 것 같아요. 빈티지는 영원히 사용되어 온 단어입니다. 밴드 나 아티스트에게 영감을 준 무언가가 항상 있기 때문입니다. 특히 지금은 사람들이 50 년 전보다 오래된 음악을 훨씬 더 많이 찾을 수 있습니다. 요즘에는 더 구식의 빈티지 사운드가있을 수 있습니다. 그러나 그것에 영감을 받았다는 점에서 새로운 것은 없습니다.

그렇죠 음악이던, 패션이던 돌고 도는 것이니까요.
